Education – University of Missouri at St. Louis (B.S. Criminology and Criminal Justice); Southern University Law Center (J.D.)
Stephanie is initially from the St. Louis, Missouri area, and received her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri at St. Louis. Upon graduation, she intended to pursue a career in law enforcement by way of the Federal System. However, after working in a law firm in St. Louis, she decided that being an attorney was her path. After this, she then moved to Louisiana in 2012 to pursue her law degree, graduating in 2015. While in law school, she worked in the Law Clinic as a Student Attorney. In this role she learned the value of a defense and how things really worked in the courts. During, and after, this experience she advocated for her clients to get the best options for their cases.
After graduation from Southern University Law Center with her J.D., Stephanie moved from Louisiana to Florida to be closer to family. After moving to Florida, she began working for a firm in Navarre, FL as the paralegal that handled the criminal matters and estate planning matters. This experience taught her a great deal about the law, people, and where she wanted to go from there.
Her decision to shift from the criminal realm to advocating for veterans stems from her great respect for the military community. This came about from living in a large military area, and having multiple family members who are veterans and others current in the service. She has seen the distress and frustration as they navigate their way through the system.
When not working, Stephanie enjoys going to the beautiful Emerald Coast Beaches close to her home, spending time with her children, husband, and pups, paddle boarding in the sound, and working out with her friends.
