Christina Bannon graduated cum laude with BA degrees in both Law & Society and Literature at Ramapo College of New Jersey. A New Jersey native, Christina traded the Garden State for the Sunshine State when she attended Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. While in law school, Christina was a part of several clubs and organizations, including being the Research Assistant for the Dean Emeritus, and Senior Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review. Christina knew that she wanted to be a legal advocate for the disabled from dedicating her time to these organizations, which specialized in religious liberty, disability rights, and human rights. However, she wasn’t sure which disability specialty to dedicate her time and skills as an attorney. It wasn’t until the summer of her 2L year that she discovered her calling to practice Veterans Law.
Christina attended a Legal Studies Institute Program at Georgetown Law School in Washington D.C., where she was also offered a summer job at the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. It was during her time at the Archdiocese that she saw the many struggles facing Veterans upon returning home from service. Soon after, Christina published a legal research guide for Ave Maria School of Law, titled “Helping To Serve Our American Heroes Returning Home: Filing a Reemployment Suit for A Disabled Military Veteran”.
After graduating from law school, Christina continued her work in Veterans Law by working for several Veterans law firms, which also specialized in Medicaid Benefits, and Elder Law. Eventually, she took on her own Veterans Law cases as a solo practitioner before joining Jackson & MacNichol. Christina is very excited to be a part of the Jackson & MacNichol team.
When she is not advocating on behalf of America’s troops, Christina enjoys reading classic literature, watching British classics like Downtown Abbey and Sherlock, and cooking amazing new recipes. She also enjoys spending time in the vibrant city of Chicago (her new home) with her husband (Michael), and adorable Golden Retriever (Poggie).
