This unique perspective, combined with her professional expertise, drives her commitment to helping veterans navigate complex legal systems to secure the benefits they deserve. Yvonne earned her Juris Doctor from the Roger Williams School of Law in 2002. She spent over 13 years as a Sole Practitioner, where she honed her expertise in Disability Law and Workers’ Compensation Law and served as a Certified Mediator and Conciliator. In addition, she provided pro-bono services to victims of domestic violence through South Coastal Counties Legal Services in Massachusetts and volunteered as a pro-bono Conciliator for the Bristol County Bar Association. Beyond her private practice, Yvonne has a distinguished background in public service. She served as the Domestic Abuse Homicide Review Panel Coordinator for the Office of the Maine Attorney General, researching and drafting the combined Biennial Report and 20 Year Lookback in 2020 of all domestic abuse homicides in the state of Maine. Additionally, as the Director of Missions and Victim Assistance for the Diocese of Portland, Maine, she oversaw outreach and support for victims of abuse and provided direct service and fundraising services to international missionaries. Yvonne is deeply involved in her community and has served on the Board of Directors for Courage Lives (St. Andre Home) since 2017, advocating for victims of human trafficking in the state of Maine. When not working, Yvonne has a large family that keeps her busy. She and her husband are the proud parents of five children and the grandparents of two fun little girls and owners of a dog and a cat. Yvonne enjoys the beauty of Midcoast Maine and the mountain regions as well as traveling both nationally and internationally.
