Benjamin Quackenbush

Benjamin Quackenbush Bar Admissions: Wisconsin, United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit

Education: St. Cloud State University (B.S.), Hamline University School of Law (J.D.)

While still in high school, Ben joined the Minnesota Army National Guard as a cannon crew-member in an artillery unit. In 2004, he was activated for a 12-month deployment to Baghdad, Iraq where his unit served as military police and convoy security forces. Ben logged many hours traveling all over Baghdad, Iraq supporting VIP’s movement from base to base. For his service in Iraq, Ben was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Driver’s Badge, and the Combat Action Badge.

Ben earned his Bachelors degree at St. Cloud State University, studying political science and operations management and joining the Pre-Law Association. Ben then attended Hamline University School of Law where he was a member of the Hamline Law Veterans Association. While at Hamline, Ben studied dispute resolution in Rome, Italy and received the University’s Certificate in Dispute Resolution.

Before joining Jackson & MacNichol, Ben was a general practice attorney in rural Wisconsin, representing individuals and businesses in litigation and transactional matters and taking cases up to the Wisconsin Supreme court and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. While a general practitioner, Ben also represented clients in Worker’s Compensation and Social Security Disability hearings, and he has successfully navigated his own claim through the Veteran’s Disability system.

Ben’s journey brought him to Jackson & MacNichol, where he guides his fellow Veterans through the complex and often-confusing process of obtaining compensation for the mental and physical sacrifices they made while serving our country.

In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time with his three kids, reading, and traveling. He also enjoys the great outdoors and playing, coaching, or watching just about any sport.
