Cliff joined Jackson & MacNichol as an associate attorney in Fall 2020, but he is no stranger to helping people navigate the challenges of the legal system. Before joining Jackson & MacNichol, he practiced as a student attorney with the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic where he maintained a successful criminal defense caseload. Before that, he worked as an Extern with the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine, working primarily on examining the gaps in Maine’s system of providing indigent criminal defense. During his first and second year of law school, Cliff worked with the Law Office of William Maselli.
After graduating from the University of Maine, he worked at the Albuquerque Opportunity Center homeless shelter in Albuquerque, New Mexico, helping the greater metropolitan area’s vast homeless population seek and maintain stable housing. While there, he came to acutely understand the struggles that some American military veterans face after discharge.
When Cliff isn’t fighting on the behalf of military veterans with Jackson & MacNichol, he enjoys running, reading, and discussing philosophy.
